Kathy Morgan: “Carla's Dad had been a minister in Davidson, and he knew of a property in Davidson. Amelia could be between Saskatoon and Regina (she was thinking of moving to Regina) and could get it for really cheap. So that’s how Amelia came to buy the church in Davidson. My sister and her husband lived in Davidson at the time and worked on the church. 

We helped her haul everything out there. Oh my God, you should’ve seen it! We helped Amelia do a lot of those things.

Ashley Johnson: “Amelia used to tell us about how her students Ray Ambrosi and Jeff Quinn putting together a work crew with Phil Ambrosi (Ray's Dad) as foreman, to fix the foundation of the church. 

She traded Mitzvah Sessions for work on the church but it was always in need of repairs. For years the bath tub was in the kitchen and you would do all this alignment work and then bend over and do your dishes in the bath tub. Then you'd have a bath. It was all part of the experience.”
