Shannon Carson: “I was particularly grateful to Amelia for telling the story of her experience of childbirth. The look on her face when she’d tell that story – in her eyes…
She said that as you grow heavier in the pregnancy, the weight causes you to spring upward and afterward you have a stronger spring and relationship to weight than before. She talked about the idea of lines of direction, and “pushing beyond”.
As it turned out, the birth of my daughter was under some difficult circumstances – I was flat on my back and couldn’t move around or do the mitzvah things I’d hoped. But I found that I could apply the principles and the pushing beyond – and the baby simply flew out, in a very short time – they barely caught her it was so quick!
Whenever I think of this, I actually laugh – and wish I could tell her about this story.”
